How Own Your Numbers processes, stores, and protects your financial data when you run a cash report.

Data Handling

Original Excel files: Not retained in customer environments. We use short-lived temp storage during processing and do not keep the originals after your report is generated.
Financial analysis: Auto-deleted within 24 hours.
PDF reports: Transient—created for download, then deleted immediately.
Operational logs: Retained up to 30 days. No personal information or detailed financial values.

Infrastructure & Compliance

Hosting: Customer environments (beta and production) run on Google Cloud Platform in the UK region, with all data encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Compliance certifications provided by GCP:

ISO 27001 — Information security management
ISO 27017 — Cloud-specific security controls
ISO 27018 — Personal data protection in cloud
SOC 2 Type II — Security, availability, and confidentiality independently audited
UK GDPR — Data protection regulation compliance

AI Processing

We do not send raw Excel files to AI. Our backend computes a structured financial snapshot (aggregated balances and trends) and sends only that summary to the model.
